I am beat down, dragged out, feel like someone reached down my throat, grabbed my butt and pulled me inside out pooped. Been working on promo stuff all weekend. Did one press release. Printed up some promo business cards. Sent out a few promo e-mails. Got some reviews on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. I didn't think being a writer was so hard.
The dream I had of writing everyday for four hours, taking an afternoon nap, doing some reading and relaxing the rest is just that...a dream. I did get some writing done on Penelope #3. Didn't do much reading.
One piece of R&R from the weekend. Watched some movies. VANISHING ON 7TH STREET and DEATHWATCH. Only three star movies but didn't require much focus.
Also set up Promo on Paperback edition of PATBC. Go to CreateSpace Estore and use coupon code: JTL3TVFA for $2 off.
What did you do too much of this week end?
Eat too much chocolate cake in between editing my novels and fending off a 3.5 and 5.5 year old pair of energy bunny busting nieces I was baby-sitting. "Kiss my dolly, play with slinky, I'm thirsty, I'm hungry, I wipe pee-pee--you wipe poo-poo, What's in there, What's over here, can I bang on the fish tank." And on.

The only rule: writers write! Everything else is a guideline.

I've noticed since I "became a writer" I've had less time to do any writing ;)
ReplyDeleteMy Dad is down for a visit so we spent some time watching movies, too, though ours were of the Godzilla/sci-fi/cheesy variety ;)
I watched SKYLINE last weekend. Plot: invaders from outer space snatch humans for their brains. Hmmmm. How original. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is a good way to get those cheesy sci-fi movies out your system.
